• Some of Prophet Mohammed’s relatives including 107 Muslims came to Ethiopia during the persecution of Muslims in Mecca, and settled in Nejash, Northern Ethiopia and then returned home safely after many years.
• Al-Nejashi in Tigray is the oldest mosque in Africa. The first building was erected in the 7th century.

• በትግራይ የተገነባው አል ነጃሺ መሽጊድ በአፍሪቃ ረጅም ዕድሜ ያለው መስጊድ ነው፡፡ የመጀመሪያው መስጊድ የተሰራው በሰባተኛው ምዕተ አመት ነበር፡፡
