broken 29 world records in his illustrious career.
 The first man in Africa to win an Olympic Gold medal
was an Ethiopian, Abebe Bikila , who ran barefoot in the marathon in Rome Olympic in 1960.
 He also won Gold Medal in marathon in the following
Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964.
 Miruts yifter won a double gold medal in the 5000
and 10,000 meters in the same event held at Moscow
Olympic in 1980. He became the first person in the
world to do so

 It began operations on 5th April 1,1946.

the world.

airport with an ultra modern structure .
 It is capable of lading the word’s largest aircraft: The
Super Jumbo commercial Airbus A380 which has 555

 Ethiopian Airlines is the first African Airlines and the
second in the World to acquire Boeing 787 Dream Liners
making it the first carrier to operate them in Africa, The
Middle East, Europe and the USA.
 It is ranked among the world’s top 16 profitable Airlines.
